Ahoy there from E-City!
Today, we sailed into the Harbor of Hospitality and were greeted and interviewed by the local journal. They were amazed to hear that the boat was sailed up from the Nuese by none other than 10 high school boys. We covered over 40 NM today, averaging over 5.5 knots, which is fast for a sailboat grossing over 40 tons in moderate wind. After a dinner of squash and lemon zest spatchcock chicken with the captain'a famous salad, we headed to the local cinema for a flick followed by the Dairy Queen. Tomorrow morning, we will leave before dawn to make the lock openings into the Dismal Swamp Canal for Norfolk, where we will be protected from the deteriorating weather later this week.
