Ahoy there from the Manteo Waterfront!
We arrived safely in Shallowbag Bay this morning after sailing through the night from Norfolk. Following a quick nap, we sailed to the Sound side of Jockey Ridge and hiked over the dunes to Nags Head to swim in the ocean and body surf. For dinner, we enjoyed homemade wings and burgers before making it back to Manteo for a belated, yet long-deserved and exuberant fireworks show. After a restful night's sleep, we plan to set sail through the Pamlico Sound to Ocracoke for the next stop in our adventures.
