Today ended up being one of the most beautiful days of the trip thus far, despite Arthur's best efforts. We experienced nothing more than some gusty winds and a little rain early this morning, which cleared into blue skies by breakfast, allowing us to enjoy a visit to the USS Wisconsin, an Iowa Class Battleship, located at the Nauticus Maritime Museum. We finished up the afternoon with a patriotic sail around the Elizabeth River, flying a 20x33 ft American Flag from the top of the main mast. It was complete with hotdogs covered in pulled pork and melted cheese. We plan to leave tomorrow before noon for Roanoke Island and Manteo.
