Day 3: Alligator River

Ahoy There!

After a hearty breakfast from "Farm Boyz", we navigated the Alligator-Pungo river canal, a part of the intracoastal waterway. A strong wind out of the south picked up when we reached the Alligator River, allowing the boys to hoist the sails and set a course for the Alligator River Swing bridge. As an added bonus we watched as a formation of F-18s made a series of flybys. After making it across we dropped anchor and went for a swim in East Lake, complete with a 'Mane & Tail' river bath. To top it all off we feasted on ribs of both the beef and pork variety and cooked sous vide in the engine room. Tomorrow our journey continues on towards Elizabeth City, NC and the Dismal Swamp Canal.
